Is that a never ending fight for Kashmir? Reminds me of Tom and jerry?

Pakistan is doing everything to take away Kashmir. Be it attracting third-party (mainly, US) intervention, or, exporting terrorism in the form of militant infiltration to India through LOC (Line of Control).

Every fortnight, there has to be some blasts in Srinagar or Kashmir killing innocent people. These militants even tried to dismantle the Indian constitution by attacking on Parliament house, a couple of years back. Very recently, LeT, a militant group active in pakistan,is alleged to have carried out Ayodhya attack.

When would all this merciless killing end? Shall India do something about it? Definitely Yes!

The fights remind me of Tom and Jerry. The question is who is Tom and who is Jerry? By the way, in the picture below, who is the third guy, relaxing? Do not guess it as US.:)

We asked for a bucket full, and you gave us much more! Now relax, Rain God!

It has been raining a lot in my city, Hyderabad, since last few days. People have already started talking about rainfall of the likes of August 2000 when there was flood in hyderabad. God save Hyderabad!

It is always good to rain cats and dogs but only for few days. God, could you be a bit generous? Flood would only bring miseries to the poor people. Few days before, it was Gujarat, and Maharastra. Now it seems to be turn ofHyderabad. It is raining so heavily that even roads are getting blocked by rain water.

There are manholes on roads which are major reasons for accidents on a rainy day when water get accumulated on roads. Andhra Pradesh government should take immediate measures to meet such circumstances.

By the way, Rain God is showing no mercy on Mumbai. Mumbai has come to stand still. God Bless!

My city, Hyderabad and Charminar

Could you think of New York without the Statue of Liberty or Moscow without the Kremlin? Similar is the case of Hyderabad and Charminar. Any tourist visiting hyderabad for the first time is sure to have Charminar on top of his mind.

I must say, it is simply gorgeous. So, if you get a chance to visit Hyderabad, do visit Charminar.

Birla temple: One other place is Birla Temple, which is so beautiful and religious that I go there every month. This is a temple of lord Venkateshwara.

Can somebody say if there is a way to root out terrorism? God, please save London for now, and world for all times from terrorism!

Could these handful of terrorists do anything they like? Seemingly yes!

They did a grand show of September 11 attack in which so many innocent people died! Then, they attacked indian parliament on December 13, 2003. And, now they have been attacking London time and again!

They say that they have valid reasons to carry out these attacks. Sometimes they blame US for their policies on Islamic countries and thus kill thousands of people on September 11 attack. Then, they blame India for its policies on Kashmir and try to shake the indian sentiments by attacking on parliament building. Then, they blame UK to support US in carrying out war in Iraq, and they attack London.

Gosh! They do it in the name of Jihad! They do not even understand that in all these attacks they have killed thousands of people. Could these people find out some other constructive ways of protesting? Or, else get ready to face consequences!

Responsible people, could we really carry out some nationswide search of these people and bring them to justice?

Vista follows XP! Whats in the name? Microsoft working hard to impress us much!

That don't impress me much! Well, Shania Twain sung the song very well to be used in various scenarios. How much would forth coming OS release of Microsoft (named Vista) would impress users/analysts would be known next year, 2006. The beta release is suuposed to be available by August 3, 2005. Let us wait and watch!

Microsoft named its next operating system as Windows Vista. This is going to be major release after Octobar 2001 release of Windiws XP. Whats in the name? Well, earlier releases had its name based on the year of release or some terms such as XP that describe the release itself. Check out the dictionary meaning of Vista.

Looks like Microsoft wanted to be more innovative and name its next major release in 2006, as Windows Vista. Well, keep brain storming guys for catchy and innovative names of other product releases also.

It also happens in India!

Yes, Child Labour is so much prevalent in India. Estimates cite figures of between 60 and 115 million working children in India -- thehighest number in the world (Human Rights Watch 1996, 1).

Are we doing something about it? Child labour is definitely a worrisome issue. Is Indian government doing something about it? And, why at all in the first place does the need of child labour arise? Is it the poor families who make some income from child labour? So, looks like one of the root cause is poverty, or, unemployment in one way or the other?

Could we have some law in which at least one member of every family is working? Hope that policy makers are thinking about the issue of child labour.

Imagining sounds of earth ripping apart (tsunami) enough to give you chills!

How would the earth ripping out sound? Imagining itself gave me chills. This is about sound of tsunami and december's devastating earthquake of magnitude 9.3 in indian ocean.

The dramatic soundtrack of the rupture of the Sumatra-Andaman Fault comes from a little known, and sometimes hard- to- access resource. The microphones that captured the sound are part of a global network of instruments that monitor compliance with the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

The microphones that picked up this earthquake were located in Diego Garcia, an island more than 1,700 miles from the epicenter of the quake. The length of the rupture was about 750 miles.

India-US seems to be marching left, right on the road to friendship! And China-Pakistan...?

China-Pakistan must be using binoculars to closely watch the "stage show" going on in Washington.:) And, this must be on top of mind of India and US. Thats why US didn't leave the chance to take notice of Pakistan and China expressions, especially, on nuclear deal. Pakistan and China seemed to have no objection. Nuclear deal is regarding transfer of civilian nuclear reactors to India. US president seems to have assured our prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on N-deal. Now, that is going to be tough sell in US, right Mr. President! Best of luck!

In relation to China-Pakistan, United States, however, seems to be playing safely as it made public warnings about its opposition to G-4 resolution( regarding UNSC expansion ) before Dr. Manmohan Singh reached Washington. With this, US made China and Pakistan happy who were also opposed to G-4 resolution. That was kind of expected move from US. But, how did they save their face in front of India? Simple. Later, they said that time is not right for India in UNSC. That does not mean that India has lost its heart. It is moving ahead to gather some votes from african nations. But we all knows US factor matters a lot. The question remains: when would India get the permanant membership of the UN security council?Probably US knows. :) Looks like I wanted to say, God knows.

Just a thought! Is it not that US has started feeling insecured due to emergence of India and China as economic powers? So, lets start the chapter of doing friendship with India, as China is a hard nut tocrack. Never know!

Lets wait and watch! In the mean time, memorize the following quiz question if you are targetting to win 2 crores in KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati).

Question: Which all countries form G-4 nations?

Answer:

  • India
  • Brazil
  • Japan
  • Germany

India could Crack-it in World Cup 2007 Cricket!

India has great chance of reaching the World Cup 2007 semi-finals to be held in West Indies. India is placed in pool B wherein other teams are Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bermuda. Bangladesh and Bermuda, being comparatively weaker team, India has just one castle to conquer and that is of Sri Lanka. And, there is good chance that India could beat Sri Lanka and thus, reach into Semi-finals. Currently, Sri Lanka is way ahead of India in ICC ODI rankings but behind India in ICC Test rankings. So, it would be fun to watch the battle between Sri Lanka and India in World Cup 2007 in pool matches.

In other pools such as pool D, as many as three stronger teams have been placed together. Those three teams are West Indies, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe.

Check out the teams in various pools. Here is the World cup 2007 schedule.

Taj Mahal sold in Re 1. That could be a possibility, you never know!

Who is the owner of Taj Mahal? The Archaelogical Society of India (ASI) or Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board. Well, the question is still unanswered.

Wakf board is claiming Taj Mahal as Waqf property and they are in the process of gathering manuscripts, archaeological and other related documents to arrive at a proper conclusion.

ASI, on the other hand, is vehemently opposing registration of the Taj Mahal as a Waqf property.

It was in Bunty aur Babli that Taj Mahal was given to some foreigner on lease. But, that looks good only in movie. What, if Taj Mahal, the world's most famous monument to love becomes some religious trust property. That sounds ugly. Let the Taj Mahal be a part of India. Taj Mahal is pride of India. Let us not bring it in controversy.

Marriage analysis: Husband or Computer? Wife treats them same!:)

India is a land of arranged marriage system. Potential bride-grooms come under close scrutiny for several areas of the matching process by their parents. Once parents are satisfied with their prospective in-laws, they arrange their marriage. Often, the bride lives with her in-laws after marriage in what is called a joint family.

Things have changed. India has become a land of IT. Now, lets take a look at what would be planning of a indian girl once the marriage gets fixed.

  • She got to buy a computer. (Parents decides for marriage of the girl.)
  • She looks out for various available brands. (Boy from IIT, IIM, Boy who is a doctor, an IAS officer etc.)
  • She boils down to one of them. (Marriage is fixed.)
  • She reads the manual. (understands her would-be hubby).
  • Based on her readings, she decides whethar she needs to re-format the computer or accept it as it is. (How much the would-be hubby needs to be changed.)
  • She buys the computer. (Marriage happens!)
  • From day one, she runs anti-virus scans on the computer and keep cleaning it on daily basis. (She keeps changing her hubby thinking process.)
  • She also installs new softwares. (She keeps incorporating new thinking process.):)
  • However, cleaning she does, computer keeps hanging. (Poor husbands get confused and fight back often.:)
  • Incase computer becomes slow or stops working, she keeps reformating the computer till the end of her life. (Poor husband keeps loving his wife forever, come what may!)

Warning message: Any resemblance with any husband-wife life is purely incidental.:)

Dr. Anji Reddy, could you take some classes of Indian IT Biggies? Sabeer could assist you!

Dr. Anji Reddy is the man behind Dr. Reddy's Lab. This is one such pharma company that went a long way to establish itself as a profitable company, a wealth generating company. Last year, Dr. Reddy Lab's stock plunged down as stakeholder didn't want the company to invest money in research & development. Inspite of that, Dr. Reddy stayed firm and didn't leave the road of R&D. When asked, he said that he had to maintain the balance between profit and vision. Nicely said, Dr. Reddy. We all by now have known that you are heading towards making world class company known for its unique products.

Sabeer Bhatia, the hotmail guy, pounced back with the new product, InstaAssist! He seems to be of the view that India could survive in the long race of IT fierce competition by having some solid products and not only services. That seems to be very true. Does SAP need to fear if China comes up with English speaking technical pool. But, yes, Infosys, Wipro, Satyam had a reason to fear. Guess why?

There are many other Indians like the above two who believe in creating product based company instead of service based companies. Forexample, Pavan Nigam is running with Cendura.

So, Our IT biggies should take inspiration from some of the above mentioned global Indian IT leaders and start planning accordingly.India is not short of talent. But India is still short of risk-takers.

Enough of money from sponsorship! Now, lets make some money from winning games, Sania!

Sania's North American schedule (all hard court tournaments):

July 18: $170,000 Cincinnati Open
July 25: $585,000 Bank of West Classic, Stanford
Aug 1: $1.3 million Acura Classic, San Diego
Aug 8: $585,000 JP Morgan Chase Open, Los Angeles
Aug 15: $1.3 million Rogers Cup, Toronto
Aug 29: US Open, New York

Are you a murderer or a criminal wanting to abscond?: Then, join the indian politics. Even Supreme court could not send police behind you. • Mohammad Shahbuddin
  • Pappu yadav

Now, who in the AP government is corrupted, it is not known. But, it probably brought bad name to AP government. Anyways, N.Chandrababu Naidu might already have started opposing it firmly. Lets wait and watch and have fun!:)

Hey Sa-ChiN-ia! India is watching you!

India seems to be closely watching Sachin and Sania for their performance in cricket and tennis.

Sachin Tendulkar has been dragged into some senseless controversy. It all started with Greg Chappell making a statement that Sachin might not be able to regain earlier form. At the same time, Sachin had undergone elbow injury surgery. Things went on so much worse that known cricketers such as former indian cricket team captains Azharuddin and Kapil Dev were asked for their opinion on Sachin's retirement.

Come on India, give Sachin a break. Trust him! He deserves it! Check out what Greg Chappell has to say about Sachin.

Sania Mirza, the indian tennis star has become very famous for her display of the game in some of the recent tennis matches such as Wimbledon, Dubai open, Hyderabad WTA Open. She won Hyderabad WTA open. She pulled off her biggest win till date when she upset world number 7, Svetlana Kuznetsova in second round in Dubai open. Almost illiterate built it! Well educated almost broke it!

I am talking about Dhirubhai Ambani(Illiterate) and his sons Mukesh and Anil Ambani(educated from Stanford and Wharton school of business).

DhiruBhai Ambani was seemingly an illiterate person. However, he was the first person who gave Tatas and Birlas run for their money. Tatas and Birlas are the one who dominated the country’s industrial landscape for nearly a century. Dhirubhai Ambani - Entrepreneur built up the first Indian business to feature in the Forbes 500. One of India’s most dynamic and flamboyant entrepreneurs, Dhirubhai Ambani was head of the multibillion-dollar Reliance group of industries with extensive interests in textiles, petrochemicals, energy and telecommunications.

Think big, think fast and think ahead. This inspired Dhirubhai Ambani to start from being a petrol pumpp attendent at the age of 17 to being head of $12.3 billion Reliance industries. Read more on Dhirubhai Ambani.

And, how about Anil Ambani and Mukesh Ambani. As soon as Dhirubhai died, they started the battle. "Bantwara" is called in Hindi which means split. They almost fought with each other (luckily weapons were not used.:)). It was war of words, war of emails, war of press releases and war of what nots. Finally, Kokilben got in between and resolved the "Bantwara" by splitting Reliance industries in two majors parts.

What is the use of MBA education from Stanford and Wharton? Anyways, life must go on!

Is IIT + IT >= IIIT + IT ??

A guy with IIT + IT combination, at most of the times, is making higher salary than a guy with IIIT + IT combination. Why? The reason looks to be simple and straight.

IIT stands for Indian Institue of technology. They are the most prestigious engineering institutions of the country. A person passing out from one of the IITs is complete in all aspects owing to rigorous training given in various engineering courses. Also, cracking IIT JEE makes them stand apart from rest of the engineers as IIT JEE is the most toughest engineering competition in the country.

IIIT stands for Indian Institute of Information technology. These institutes churn out pure IT professionals. These professionals are well equipped to handle any kind of IT job.

Thus, when an IITian is compared with an IIITian, IITians seem to be way ahead due to their allround engineering capabilities. Nevertheless, IIIT is churning out some good IT professionals. And, students from IIITs are also cracking opportunities with top IT companies in the country.

So, folks, if you do not get into one of the IITs, do make into one of the IIITs as they also open immense opportunites with top IT companies in the country.

Enough of Infosys, Wipros, TCS & Satyams! Can we have some Microsoft,SAP,Siebel,Oracle,Google,Yahoo in India?

India is famous for growth in IT services sector, all over the world. If US has its silicon valley in the state of California, India has its silicon valley in Karnataka, in Bangalore. Recently, other cities such as Hyderabad, Pune, Noida is catching up fast.

India's most famous and successful IT services-based companies are following:

  • TCS
  • Infosys
  • Wipro
  • Satyam

All of the above companies are IT service providers. They are known for their IT services. And, all of them are very highly respectable and profitable companies in India.

Could we have some product-based companies for a change? Companies who sell product and not services. Companies who could be placed in the category of the likes of Microsoft,SAP, Siebel, Oracle, Google, Yahoo etc. We could have these companies but when? and How? Only, time would tell. Are our IT services company thinking on those lines?

Things have started changing. India is catching up fast and soon we would have some successful product based company from India.

Come on India, just do it!

If you get a chance to visit indiatimes.com, visit the website. You would find a semi-nude image right on front page! How much is the act of displaying of such images on homepage is correct, could be an arguable topic for discussion? But, the fact remains that photos(thumbnails) displayed randomly on front page of indiatimes.com are mostly semi-nude and, might work in favour of indiatimes.com to attract users on daily basis to some extent. Ramji and Khuda must have met yesterday after december 6, 1992(Babri masjid demolition day) to discuss Ayodhya attack!:)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Above cartoon might give you an idea on the minutes of meeting.:)

Yesterday, 5 militants attacked on Ram Janambhoomi complex in Ayodhya, the place where Babri Masjid used to be before december 6 1992. December 6 1992, the day of demolition of Babri Masjid, is one of the black day in indian history when so many people from both the religions, Hinduism and Islam, got killed mercilessly by each other. Who was responsible for so many killings on december 6, 1992, no body knows. However, everybody has their own opinion.

But, Ramji would never have approved the construction of temple after knowing about the demolition of babri masjid and killing of thousands of innocent lives.

Yesterday, in afternoon, again 5 militants allegedly belonging to LeT(Islamic group) attacked the complex and tried to give rise to communal tension leading to unneccessary and shameful killings. But, probably, God acted on time and saved the humanity.

But then, god creation is not smart enough to understand the hints. BJP-VHP activists started disrupting day-to-day life by creating tensions on airports, railway stations, roads etc. Even, God won't save such fools? What point are they wanting to prove is just incomprehensible? Could you guess that?:) I can't!

Indian sky ready to get flooded with private airlines! What about uniform monsoon in the country?

Looking 10 years back, flying to the desination was a remote possibility. It was out of affordable range of middle class, for sure. And what is the scenario, today?

At least, Air Deccan has made it easy for middle class people to make a quick visit back home using one of their cheap-fare flights. Thanks to Air Deccan team. This led to other flights bringing their cost down by almost 50%. So, Indian airlines, Jet Airways, and Air Sahara had to rethink their pricing schemes and come up with various ticketing scheme such as apex fares. Entry of other low fare airlines such as KingFisher, SpiceJet, Go would only make competition stiffer.

Rediff.com Fare Search has come up with nice portal to compare and book ticket online. It is similar to that of LastMinuteTravel.com. This is a nice and value-added portal.Check it out!

By the way, how about indian sky getting some uniform clouds to shower entire country. At some places like Gujarat, Maharashtra there is heavy rain while at other, there are only clouds and very scanty rainfall. Common, rain god, break free the raindrops hanging from the sky.

Did you ask my religion? Its Indian!

India is a secular country. Simply speaking, all religions exists in India. India is a land of religions. Indians are allowed to exercise any religion they want. So, what are some of the important religions?

  • Hinduism
  • Islam
  • Sikhism
  • Christionity
  • Others

However, Hindu-Muslim conflicts happening once in a while is bringing bad name to India. These conflicts happen due to minority group, both, in Hindu and Islamic communities. Of coarse, Hindu population is much much larger in India and one should respect it. Similarly, if one, such as Islam, has smaller population, one should not degrade it. So, its the matter of mutual respect for each other religions.

Should we start acting like Indian only, for once? I think the key to reducing these conflicts is education at all level and removal of unemployment, and hence poverty.

Would N. Chandrababu Naidu get ready if offered $10 Million in cash and a chief minister post in Bihar?

I seriously doubt! The condition of bihar has gone extremely bad so much so that dynamic leaders like N. Chandrababu Naidu would have to pause and think on what would it take to bring law & order & peace & economic growth in Bihar? Next to impossible task.

Could his laptop work in Bihar? Definitely not, if he does not have battery for unlimited power supply? Why? Reason seems obvious! Probably due to bad supply of power in the entire state. And, we all know, Chandrababu Naidu becomes powerless if his power point presentations couldn't work.:)

And, even if he becomes the chief minister in Bihar by taking the $10 million in cash, what is the surity that he would not be kidnapped by one of the active criminal forces in bihar in which case, he would end up paying at least $5 million. :)

God bless Bihar, one of the most corrupted state in India! Ask any indian if he wants to ever settle in Bihar, and the answer would be an absolute and categorical NO.

Cracking IIT JEE requires hearts of steal and bloods of 3D!

Are you preparing for one of the toughest engineering examination, IIT JEE? For those of you who are not aware of what IIT JEE stands for, here is the answer: IIT JEE stands for Indian Institue of technology - Joint Entrance Examination. IIT JEE is one of the toughest examination. They say that IITians are cream of the nation. IIT JEE tests basic and depth of undderstanding of physics, chemistry and mathematics. The examination is a puzzle in itself as questions asked each year could vary in format, toughness, and cut-off marks.

So, what is required for cracking IIT JEE?

  • Hearts of Steal: One has to have courage to think about cracking IIT JEE as it is a very competitive examination. If you score a marks less, you could disappear from the merit list. So, one has to have hearts of steal to start planning and preparing for IIT JEE.
  • Bloods of 3D: One has to have following three things running in his blood:
    1. Desire
    2. Dedication
    3. Determination

So, if you think you have the above ingredients in you, half battle is already won by you! Just, get set and go and crack IIT JEE!

When would India become permanent? Is homework done well? Hey, Delhi, whats up?

When talking about permanent membership in UNSC, United Nations Security Council, the hot question is who is/are next permanent member/s? Is it India, or is it one of Japan, Brazil, Germany? Following are some of the relevant questions that could be hitting us:

  • How important is to get a permanent membership of UNSC?
  • What if we do not get a permanent seat? Is it going to affect us in some manner?
  • How would it affect us if we do get the permanent seat?

I am sure our thinkers have already thought of answers to all the above questions. Only time would tell if we get the permanent seat or not. Let us see if our politicians have done enough homework. US has already endorsed a permanent seat for India. That is a matter of pride and has increased the chance. So, let us wait and watch! Let the indian government planning in New Delhi (capital city of India) know that we indians across the globe are watching Every Move You Make.

God must be using Umbrella and boat in Gujarat! What about flood affected people out there??

Gujarat, a west indian state, is devastated due to heavy monsoon which has led to some crazy flood leading to death of so many people. Derailing of trains have become a common news. What are authorities doing out there?

If Rajesh Sheth, a braveheart indian could save his wife and daughter, and 70 passengers who got stuck in between, due to derailing of train near Ahmedabad, why not Gujarat government did something? The state government should take measures beforehand to meet such circumstances.

Anyways, god is kind for most of times! Lets forgive god for tsunami that happened recently! Otherwise, he does appropriate thing at appropriate times to save human life. He knows the best!

Indian politics rocks - Congress - CPM on BHEL Disinvestment! Indian government on fire!

Looks like there is a lock situation between Congress president Sonia Gandhi, and CPM general secratory Karat on BHEL disinvestment issue. Sonia Gandhi has not been able to convince Karat on going ahead with BHEL disinvestment for attracting FDI.

CPM party's point is that BHEL is a profitable unit. Why are we disinvesting it? Are we losing every profitable/nonprofitable government undertaking to private sector? Is it good for India?

Well, CPM and Congress has to resolve this issue sooner than later? UPA is in danger? Government is in danger?

Best of luck Sonia! Let us see if you could convince Mr. Karat. Why isn't our prime minister Mr. Manmohan Singh convincing Mr. karat on pros and cons. After all, Mr. Manmohan singh had himself been India's finance minister once.

Lets wait and watch the fun going on in UPA, CPM, Congress on BHEL disinvestment!
